We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our Modern Workspace team and play a key role in delivering secure, reliable, and user-centric digital workplace solutions for our customers.
This is a senior, customer-facing role where you will act as a technical leader, escalation point, and trusted advisor—working across Microsoft technologies to improve endpoint management, security posture, and overall workspace experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as a technical bridge between customers, managed services teams, and consulting practices
- Lead customer workshops to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities within modern workplace environments
- Take ownership of complex incidents and act as a senior escalation point
- Design and implement permanent corrective solutions, following change management processes
- Drive continuous improvement across customer environments
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers
- Document solutions, procedures, and knowledge into the internal knowledge base
- Work closely with team leads and senior engineers to deliver positive customer outcomes
What we’re looking for
Strong experience with Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies, including:
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Exchange & Exchange Online
- Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Microsoft Defender (secure score uplift, recommendations, remediation)
- Microsoft Teams and general Microsoft collaboration tools
- VPN technologies (AOVPN experience is a plus)
Infrastructure & platform experience:
- Virtualization platforms (VMware vCenter / ESXi, Azure)
- Physical server infrastructure (iLO / iDRAC)
- Patch management, roll-ups, cumulative updates, and firmware planning
- Vulnerability management, threat remediation, and security best practices
What will make you successful
- Previous experience in a managed services, MSP, or consulting environment
- Comfortable working directly with customers and leading technical discussions
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on long-term fixes
- Experience acting as a senior escalation or technical lead
- Ability to mentor others and contribute to a collaborative team culture
Nice to have
- Intune / endpoint management experience
- Azure infrastructure exposure
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (preferred but not mandatory)
