Resident Engineer – CCIE

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure Cisco solutions meet best practices and customer business requirements.
• Translate complex technical needs into actionable strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead on-site technical support and oversee network updates, upgrades, and change execution.
• Conduct lab validation and ensure seamless, low-risk implementation of projects.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for complex network issues.
• Offer guidance on architectural and design impacts to resolve critical incidents.
• Leverage analytics and technical expertise to identify opportunities for performance, reliability, and security improvements.
• Lead initiatives for proactive network optimization and future-proofing.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Collaborate with Cisco CX teams, TAC, Solution Architects, and Account Managers to ensure coordinated, high-quality support.

Skills/Experience:

Technical Skills

• 10+ years in designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or service provider networks using Cisco technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Routing & Switching (Catalyst, SD-WAN), Data Center Networking (Nexus, ACI), and Security (ISE).
• Strong expertise in network architecture, design principles, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience with network change management, validation testing, and automation tools (Python, Ansible).

Preferred Certifications

• Relevant Cisco certifications required; CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure, Data Center) highly preferred.
• Experience in Solutions Architect or Network Consulting Engineer roles.
• Familiarity with Cisco CX portfolio, ITIL processes, and network analytics platforms.
