Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
- Work closely with Digital & Cloud Experts and presales teams to qualify opportunities, deliver cloud demonstrations, and support proposal development.
- Prepare high-quality technical deliverables including HLDs, LLDs, technical proposals, and Bills of Materials.
- Lead responses to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and ensure all technical requirements and design considerations are accurately addressed.
- Estimate cloud infrastructure, network, and security costs, ensuring alignment with project budgets and financial constraints.
- Conduct solution demos, pilots, and Proof of Concepts to validate cloud solution approaches for customers.
- Architect modernization and migration roadmaps across applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure workloads.
- Apply DevOps and cloud-native practices including containers, serverless, microservices, and automation to enhance solution delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional architecture, implementation, and project management teams throughout the full cloud transformation lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership during implementation, ensuring architectures are delivered according to design specifications.
- Engage with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business objectives and provide ongoing technical guidance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating industry best practices and emerging cloud trends.
- Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing across the cloud team.
- Support post-implementation activities, including optimization, governance, and ongoing cloud adoption refinement.
Skills/Experience:
Required Experience
- 8–10 years of implementation or consulting experience with cloud solutions, including VMware, enterprise storage, and server technologies.
- 3–4 years of enterprise architecture design and implementation experience, including production-grade, large-scale cloud deployments within the past year.
- 2–3 years of hands-on Public Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with solid understanding of pricing models and architectural impacts.
- Experience designing or implementing cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, refactor, rehost, replatform).
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture across IaaS, PaaS, serverless, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with microservices architectures, cloud-native applications, and modernization frameworks.
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, middleware, ESB, EAI, ETL, and governance practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices.
- Experience writing proposals, technical scopes, and responding to tenders/RFPs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to work independently in a matrix environment.
Required Technical Skills
- Public Cloud IaaS: EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, Route 53 (or Azure/GCP equivalents).
- Public Cloud PaaS: Docker, EKS/ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Azure Functions, or similar.
- API Gateway and cloud messaging services (AWS API Gateway, SNS, SQS, etc.).
- Cloud assessment and migration tools (AWS Migration Services, Azure Migrate, Turbonomic, VMware tools, etc.).
Preferred Technical Skills
- Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, ARM, or equivalent tools.
- Scripting/programming experience (Java, Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell).
- DevOps & CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CDK.
- Enterprise architecture technologies (JEE stack, UI frameworks, WebSphere/WebLogic/JBOSS, middleware, databases, and data warehouses).
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Azure Solutions Architect – Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Architect
