Junior Programmer

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Holder of a Hong Kong degree in computer related subjects, or equivalent; OR 
• Holder of a Hong Kong degree other than computer related subjects, or holder of an associate degree / higher diploma from a Hong Kong tertiary institution in computer related subjects, or equivalent; and 
• One additional year’ relevant post-qualification experience in computing field

Must Have Qualifications:

• A Junior Programmer must have experience in programming using 3rd or 4th generation programming languages such as JAVA, EJB platform, Microsoft .NET & etc on Linux/Window Operating System/Platform and with JavaScript Framework.

Junior Programmer, Programmer and Analyst Programmer are mainly deployed to perform any of the following duties: 

• To write programs or enhance/maintain existing programs according to specifications. 
• To conduct program testing and system testing. 
• To prepare or maintain program documentation in accordance with the Authority’s standards; (d) to prepare job control procedures for both trial runs and production runs. 
• To provide end-user computing support services including product evaluation, trouble shooting and help-desk functions; HAHO(S)/T/24-IT001(S) 30 
• To set up and/or maintain microcomputer network and microcomputer-based data communication environment; (g) to perform 24-hour hotline services. 
• Assist in the systems design of computer applications. 
• To provide end-user support services in computer-related matters.
• To prepare project reports in accordance with the Authority’s standard; and 
• To perform other relevant duties.
