Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Design
- Design and implement data centre network architectures including spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN, and multi-tier environments.
- Lead L2/L3 network design aligned with industry best practices and MAS/TRM regulatory requirements.
- Provide architectural guidance for data centre modernization, cloud integration, and network refresh projects.
Operations & Engineering
- Manage daily operations of the data centre network covering routing, switching, load balancing, and security components.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across complex, multi-vendor environments.
- Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization of network infrastructure.
- Ensure high network resilience through redundancy, fault-tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness.
Security & Compliance
- Implement network security best practices such as segmentation, access controls, IPS/IDS, and zero-trust-aligned configurations.
- Ensure compliance with MAS TRM, internal audit requirements, and financial-sector cybersecurity standards.
- Support audit activities and remediate network vulnerabilities.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead regional infrastructure initiatives including data centre upgrades, migrations, cloud connectivity, and SD-WAN rollouts.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams for seamless project delivery.
- Work with vendors, telcos, and service providers on solution design, implementation, and issue resolution.
Skills/Experience:
Technical Skills
- CCIE (Routing & Switching, Enterprise Infrastructure, or Data Center) required, or equivalent expert-level capability.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS
- Switching: VLAN, STP, VPC/vPC, FabricPath, LACP
- Data Centre: VXLAN, EVPN, Spine-Leaf, MPLS
- Load Balancers: F5, Citrix Netscaler (preferred)
- Firewalls: Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet (advantageous)
- SD-WAN: Cisco, VMware, Aruba solutions
Cloud & Integration (Preferred)
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).
- Exposure to hybrid-cloud architectures or cloud-migration projects.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills in high-availability and regulated environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in customer-facing roles within telecom, IT, or related industries.
- Strong background in architecture, consulting, and delivery of solutions across:
- Network
- Security
- Infrastructure
- Cloud
- Experience supporting end-to-end customer engagements, including assessment, design, governance, and implementation oversight.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- CCIE certification (active or suspended within 2 years).
- 8–12 years of enterprise networking experience, with at least 3–5 years in data centre engineering or architecture.
