Key Responsibilities
Design and Architecture
- Develop comprehensive and scalable network designs tailored to client requirements.
- Design secure, high-availability network infrastructures.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance forecasting.
Implementation
- Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, and related systems.
- Deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud-based networking components.
- Integrate robust network security protocols to ensure protection of critical assets.
Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and improve network performance.
- Perform root cause analysis and apply corrective actions.
- Conduct regular system audits and update configurations as needed.
Documentation and Compliance
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity regulations.
- Collaborate with security teams to reinforce best practices.
Technical Requirements
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
- Strong understanding of network security technologies (VPNs, IDS/IPS, Firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN deployments.
Preferred Skills
- Scripting/automation using Python, Ansible.
- Knowledge of IPv6, 5G, and IoT networking trends.
- Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications are highly preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+).
